one for C&C please. Sideways portrait

I do think that this is a beautiful portrait, the focus is great. I would probably add some fill light to brighten the right side of the photo. To me it would be better if it was slightly more centered and you didn't cut of your sons left arm. You may be able to lighten it some in pp, and maybe lost some of the empty space to the left. also your wife's bra strap is showing. did you do any pp to it?

yea just a bit. mostly healing and i did brighten it up a touch. but ill lighten it up a touch more. when i took this photo i was just trying to get my settings right in camera and with my lights. the crop was just how it was shot.

hope it was fine that i did my own edit; I just adjust some levels some to lighten it then I croped some of the left side out.

I don't like this crop.

The original crop was better, however I agree it needs a little fill light.

ok, i wasn't sure about the crop either, no hard feelings :)

I didn't bother trying to clone out the bra strap, just did quick stuff. I corrected the 1.25 stop underexposure, worked the eyes and skin a little, cropped a bit off the left.

ok, i removed the bra strap, increased the exposure of the overall photo by .5 stop and then selectively increased exposure in dark areas.
what do you think?
thanks

I love most of the edits and they really bring out your wife's eyes! I love the picture although I wish the top of their heads wasn't cut off. With the lightening of the picture, you will have a good photograph!
