I really like this edit! How did you achieve this effect?

I can't exactly remember step by step....

but I adjusted the lighting with levels (mid slider raised) and masked back in her and your sons hair.
then I did a brightness adjustment layer, masking in the white background and hair.
Then I did an eye pop to both and sharpened your son's eyes.

and then I ran the coffee shop action called faded day dreams.

I kept the original and my edit for comparison so you can see how it was underexposed...

Good edit. It looks awesome in black and white.

I actually prefer many of the color edits. The second (and brighter) B&W has too much overexposed (PP) white...check the shirt on her shoulder. Also her nose and lower left jaw line looks more like plastic then natural skin..

yep, need to do a little burning around those areas, but I was working with a small file.

Plus I like bright edits, so I'm sure it is a tad brighter then normal.

I love ababysean's edit. The color is beautiful! Have you tried editing this one in black and white? It might make an interesting composition because of all the tones.
