37 weeks! She's a tiny woman when not expecting also

edited to add: something I'll do differently next time, because I'm going to keep playing with this. The closer body parts are to the lace, the darker the silhouette appears. If I'd had her turn slightly onto her hip to face a bit more toward me, her belly would have been better accentuated.

Gosh! I'm really thin myself but there was nooooooooo hiding my belly. lol I looked like I was going to tip over by 35 weeks... and every week after that I swear it multiplied!

Tell me about it! She has actually gained more weight than I did when I was expecting, but she's about 6" taller so she carries really well! Her midwife has predicted a 8-9lb baby, believe it or not.

Beautiful! Love this idea. I've done similar pictures with sheer curtains, but I've never thought to do it with Lace. <3

Tell me about it! She has actually gained more weight than I did when I was expecting, but she's about 6" taller so she carries really well! Her midwife has predicted a 8-9lb baby, believe it or not.

Wowza! 42lbs gained and my son was only 7 n 12oz. haha

This is an absolutely outstanding idea and it goes to prove that there is something new out there. Well done! I would like to see the silhouette burned in just a tad more, but regardless, this is simply stellar!

John - you've really been inflating my ego the past few days. First Eaton's and now this... seriously, new and different are two of the biggest compliments in my book. I really appreciate it!! I'll try some burning on it and see what happens.

I agree with this. So I guess just a different position would have really got a better belly shot. I would also chop off some of the darker bottom area or straighten it. I like the concept though. If her hands were positioned on her belly, that would have alluded to the pregnancy too.

Thanks, Kathy. I did consider cropping some of the bottom, maybe so it wasn't like, "HEY! I'm a curtain," but I think it loses some of the voyeuristic appeal if you know what I mean. Definitely going to keep playing with this idea and see where it takes me. Another friend is expecting and I know she really wants to try this along with using the lace to create patterns on her belly.
