one or the other

looking through my portfolio i realized i was really laking in photos taken during the day, so i went on a hike up to a lake i knew had some fun colours to see if i could get a shot.

two views... which do you guys prefer?

I think these images would have turned out much better if they were taken just after sunrise.

Early morning light is much softer so you won't get those harsh shadows in the trees and the colors would look nicer also.

In addiction the water swill be MUCH more calm in the early AM allowing you to keep the objects under the water to not look blurred out.

I'm in love with the colors in your images, it's beautiful. I like the first image, it's two images in one.

I like both, but for different reasons. In #1, the subject is the water, and the gradual change of color to turquoise. #2 is a great combo of color, water, rocks, wood, and sky.
