Thank you �� I know we as photogs have more critical eyes, I kept telling myself that as I was nitpicking it, but I also like the learning opportunities provided by having other critical eyes like mine look it over.

semi-silhouette + photography - Google Search

It's an old, old concept, yet when one looks around and does a casual web search on the topic, there are some early results that lead to a couple threads on various web forums where noobies discount the idea, as if there is a 1) a full, high-contrast silhouette, and then NOTHING in-between a silhouette and full-blown lighting that shows everything. Like this guy who is shown a semi-sihouette, and pronounces it nothing but a "fudged exposure". Semi-silhouette shot

Scanning down the GOogle search results a ways is a lovely B&W semi-silhouette of a very pregnant lady...GORGEOUSLY photographed in a semi-silhouetted pose. It looks exquisite.

The one where she's wearing a wrap thing? Beautiful!! Honestly I've always been drawn more to that style than the pure black and white ones. Maybe it's just my personal taste.
