I went downtown today and checked out a camera store (Downtown Camera, if you're wondering). I was asking about prices on their 18-200mm lenses, and an employee, Stan the Asian Man as i called him, offered me the Tamron AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di II lens for $275... when it was normally priced at $450. Seems like a steal, if he isn't BSing me (which i kinda think he is ). Does anyone here suggest it... or... not suggest it? good, bad, etc.
my main questions are:
1. Will it Autofocus with the Nikon D60 (the box said "new with built in motor")?
2. It doesnt seem to have some form of Vibration Reduction... is it really THAT useful (i'm assuming it is... if i wanna go to 200mm)?
3. should I just save up another $450 or so and get a Nikon or Sigma 18-200mm lens? quality kinda plays a big factor here
if i could get any useful answers by tonight it'd be great since i'm kinda going to new york the day after tomorrow and i think an 18-200mm lens would be useful.
THANKS!
