Orchid Shot

So I happened to snap this picture, though I removed the background and did some touch up work. I like the image, but I still feel like it needs something.

The second image makes an awesome background in Windows (when using the full sized image). It just feels like there is something missing, or something more that could be done. Any ideas?

Doesn't see natural to me, it looks too bright, but that's the flashes fault. And id say its missing a background seems to plain

See that partial bloom all the way to the right? It's annoying. You might clone it out entirely and leave the 4 full remaining blooms plus buds, etc.

I agree with Davor - it doesn't look quite natural and that may be because of the brightness of the flower and the flatness of the background. It seems there should be more depth of the flower but it doesn't seem possible with the black background. I wonder if you look at a picture of a flower taken in front of a black background if you will be able to see what the difference may be or how to make it more natural.

to me it looks like att you did was change the levels on PS

I agree, it looks rather flat with no background.
