Yeah, I would have metered off the snow and then used fill flash for the dog. But thats me, I'm a flash kinda gal.

I would have done the same. They would have come out better with some flash. And be careful with that lionfish, they are poisonous hahahaha (i'm sure you knew that)

I cant seem to get much success with the flash, I try and use it as little as possible buy the next time i'm out I will play around with it and see how it goes, it might be due to the fact that I only have the camera flash lol

Yea I know the lion is a venomous little fella, but i've had a cupl different kinds and they are VERY easy to manage as long as your not a complete idiot (I do know people who have been stung by "pet" lionfish), they are not at all as aggressive as they look, but he does live with a 3' moray who on the other hand, is definitely as mean as he looks haha

You're dog is beautiful!! Really makes me miss my rot. Cute shots, but like you and the others said, a little blown out. You can mostly tell in the first one by the snow on the dogs nose.
