Here's a few from Paynes Prairie. This rattlesnake was a few feet from the parking lot on the paved trail. It had 11 rattles and was about 6' in length. The dappled sunlight made the thing almost invisible. I leaped out of my skin when I saw it. I was only a few feet from it. Needless to say I did not leave the paved trail that day!

I agree about the 2nd being my favorite. I think it'd be good in b&w.
The first one seems a bit dark.

I too like #2 best, maybe next time get right in there with the gator, kind of eye to eye, try to capture his essence
