Pentax K-X too outdated?

I'm wanting to get a dslr but have a very small budget 250 or less. So I was thinking of getting an older one and have heard good things about the Pentax K-X. But 2009 seems pretty old. I just don't know enough about cameras to figure it out on my own. Thanks for the help.

In modern photographic gear, you are essentially selecting a system of bodies and lenses. Nikon has some very fine lenses, and the later versions of bodies have excellent sensors and firmware drivers. In your other post, @nerwin suggested a used Nikon D3300 with the standard 18-55mm lens. Get one of those in very good condition.
