Pentax ME asahi or minolta AF-Tele

So I've decided to start getting into photography and was wondering which of these cameras people thought was the best. The Pentax ME asahi or the Minolta AF-Tele, any information would be great!

Pentax ME -> Very successful camera during its time. I have three of them in my cabinet and I like them. As reliable as its more professional level cousin the MX

Pluses: SLR with interchangeable lens. The lenses are K-Mount which are even compatible with the present day digital SLRs.

Cons: Aperture priority or Manual only. No Shutter priority.

NOTE: Don't pay extra for the SE version. The differences are minor.


As far as I know, Minolta AF-Tele is a fixed lens 35mm point and shoot.

Hmmm, yes I think usayit is correct ... the Minolt AF-Tele is P&S camera
