This one is from a photoshoot i did yesterday, i am aware of the structure coming out of his head, whatever

Thoughts ?

Other than the machines in the background what would make me think personal trainer? (He's in jeans.)

The lighting looks good, maybe just a little more blacks in it. And as you mentioned, take one to two steps to your right and it would be nice.

have him pose,then tighten his shirt so its not all wrinkles

nice watch .. draws the eyes .. have him take it off.

No problem there. With that use, I would consider a square crop from the top of his head to just below his elbows. That would take care of the stuff coming out of his head and still give you a good photo for his profile. Just my opinion.

I see that you don't allow editing of your photos or I would give you an idea of what I meant.

As astroNikon points out, the devil is in the details.

The 'football player' pose with the shoulders so close to parallel to the camera is less than dynamic.
The light quality is OK, but a bit to harsh (shadow edges to well defined) for my taste.
