I love the concept and the composition. I've played around with shallow DOF macro for a while, and this may just be my preference for this sort of shot, but I think it needs to be sharper and/or more contrasty along part of the edge. It looks like a lot of the edge was in focus or close to it (not sure if you softened it deliberately), so you have a lot of choices for trying this, if it would fit with your conception of the image.

KenC, I see what you mean. I didn't soften it, but I didn't sharpen it much either. I liked the very subtle white on white pattern of the petal. I do wish that I had gotten the ridge to the left in better focus, and probably could've gotten more of the petal in focus just by angling the plane of my sensor more in parallel to the petal. Thanks for your comment.
