Phone photo better than DSLR? Best lens for bikini?

Just a thought about cell phone cameras v.s. DSLRs: In college there was a photography class assignment to create an image with a disposable (film) camera. The very best results came from the students who by knowing the film speed, fixed focal length, fixed shutter speed and who could with that information figure what the field of view, depth-of-field and the hyper-focal distance all would be. A camera with no adjustments can make a wonderful image when that camera is used within the limitations of it's locked down exposure values. So certainly a modern cell phone camera, reinforced with it's built-in content aware multi-mode processing and at least optical zoom and variable auto focus can take an impressive image. When the subject, composition and framing are orchestrated to the camera's best ability then yes it can take an image to rival a fine DSLR.

A fine camera put in the hands of a mediocre photographer will deliver images to the height of his mediocrity.
