Hey all I did a search and didn't find much but I am looking at purchasing some inexpensive studio lighting and was wondering if anyone has heard any thing about Photogenic Economy Lighting Kit. I don't want to spend over $400 for my first set and I am not sure what brand to go with. Not sure to go with the 2 or 3 light system. What would be benefits of both? I would be using them for general portrait photography. Plus I have a newborn baby on the way and I am sure I will get plenty of use out of them. Any suggestions?

I also am looking at purchasing a new studio lens I am currently using a Canon 20d with a 18-55mm 4.5 lens and was wondering what would be a good upgrade. I was thinking in the 18-105mm range. Any suggestions on that? Thanks for reading in advance.

You can never have too many lights, but make sure you learn how to use them and you're not just propping them on a stand in some random setup.
