I wouldn't sweat it. If anyone approaches you, tell them you're cousin is in the game and you're an amatuer photographer.

Carry and couple of bodies with lots of big white lenses and they will realize you have too much money wrapped up into it to be a creeper.

Make sure the trench coat and dark glasses you are wearing are expensive looking too.

Nobody should care. However, don't consider it cool to wander up and down the sidelines, blocking the view of parents while shooting the game. Be respectful.

Best thing you could do is get permission from the coach to be on the sideline with the team. Consider positioning yourself at one end of the field also.

This is where interacting with the officials is important. The coaches don't have the say so, the officials do. When shooting college baseball I always contact the home plate umpire since the home plate ump is in charge of the field. Most times they will designate an area on the field down the line past the dugouts against the wall/fence for me to be. It is a small area that I am restricted to and can not leave except at change of sides or end of an inning. I am considered in the field of play and must act accordingly. I have taken a few foul balls, mostly in the back, but that is part of the process. I have yet to be run over, but that will probably happen sometime as well. I have gotten quite adept at squeezing against the wall/fence to be as little an obstacle as possible when a foul is possibly in play on my side of the field.

well i dont really know if people gets creeped out but im in school yearbook and ive taken photos of baseball, softball, soccer, tennis and all kinds of different sports i usually just wear Press shirt
