Filters will take a bit of reaserch for what you want but I use mine regularly. I found a couple of brands that are good but significantly cheaper that the alterniatives. For a CPL I use Marumi Super DHGs, rated right up there with the B&Ws but significantly cheaper.

I saw on the web a scientific test of many filters: I was shocked at how well the Marumi brand tended to test out: punches WAY above its weight!

What about one of the manfrotto action tripod 60" or 65" from Best Buy? They go from 80-100$
The 65" being a hundred. I'm sort of feeling that I have to have a tripod now and that's the fastest thing I can think of and 100$ is my spending limit for this week. Otherwise I wait until about 3 weeks for Black Friday and I can even spend a little more.

If Manfrotto look into the 190 series in the price range you mentioned. But carry a net to fill it with stones for stabilization. Or a sack of potatoes 5kg
