Don't DO That!

I'm so confused? Did you report me? What should I not do?

I thought this was one of the reasons this forum exists. I did a google search and saw a similar post. I'm just trying to get opinions as to which I should buy and use as my official headshot photo.

Perhaps he is having an issue with your attachment. It might be better if you could paste the actual headshots directly into the text box, and you'll probably get more replies that way.

Thanks for the advice. I included the 6 pictures separately!

There very similar. I think 4 has the most natural pose

I see what you are talking about, it does look the most nature. I'm guessing natural is better..?

What you should not do is post the copyrighted work of another photographer unless he or she has given you specific rights to do so. If that's the case, the you may repost the images, but it would be unusual. It's imortant to understand that even though you've paid for the pictures, and they're of you, they're not really your pictures (again, unless a specific and unusal license has been granted).

Photographs are the intellectual property of the photographer, and just like software, you're not actually buying the image, you're buying the right to use the image in a specific manner. A normal release for this sort of work would NOT allow you to post the pictures on-line, scan them, or make additional copies.

where are the pictures??

Yes, I didn't ask for a download, but your link created a download. That is the kind of thing that makes people extremely nervous about the internet.

The owners and administrators of this site are respectful of the work of professional photographers, and given that the copyright laws prohibit passing around images for which one does not have the rights, they don't allow it.

Does your photographer have these portraits posted on his own website? If so, you could simply post a link to his website and allow us to view them there.

What do I need to do to fix this?

Funny, a cute young lady was posting some photos of herself a while back that she said were taken by a friend. I don't recall her posted photos being removed or any of the rest of this hoopla. It seems to me that some posters here take thier "Professional" pose way too seriously. Would be easier to buy into if they posted a link to their latest show in Soho.
