Shows how much I know. Last time I had the brochure hanging on my wall they were $999.00 or there abouts. To delve further off the subject... I question the "e- commerce" that e-bay creates.

I like both the original and the crop. I believe that although one should never put the horizon through the middle, this rule can be suspended when the horizon isn't level. The dunes let you get away with the original shot - if it were sea meeting sky it wouldn't work.

Nice choice of kit I have two Contax T2's and four T3's for emergencies!!

I like both the work. Just not too comfortable with the uneven light distribution in the first one - lil dark on the left side.

OK, I'll stop after this last one...

Here is a purified version - not sure if I like it.

Slightly more contrast. And a little more detail in the sand. Dan, I've also worked a little on the lighting problem due to vignetting - hope it looks better.

P.S. - My only concern now is the title - does "Picnic In the Desert" make sense now? I know that WE know what they are but would a new viewer? What would be the new title?

But the title makes sense again with what I hope to be my final version presented here.

I'm crazy about it. Not the square-cropped version, the original. I love the composition, and the starkness of the blue/white balance. For an image so vividly colored, it has a fantastic film noir feel to it....it's the colorized version of "The Misfits" with Marilyn Monroe.

It totally rocks! :thumbup:

Well it looks peaceful, but infact this is a disturbing shot, its really unfomfortable...
I dont know what it is, but when i see it, the emptyness scares me some how, i get a feeling of closure, yet its an outdoor shot.

Which makes it quite amazing... i really like it! Good job buddy!
