Can anyone give me any hints on taking digital pics of granite like tombstones are made of, Thanks

Well it really does depend on what kind of shots your want to take. If its just of what the granite looks like, to show the detail of it, a macro shot would probably work. If it is a design that has been carved out from granite, then shooting it on a flat background and lighting come into play. Its hard to give advice when you can be shooting something as large as a landscape shot of granite, to a small stone carving.
