pin hole effect

guys, do you think its possible to do a pin hole effect (old fashion round glow) on a dslr by attaching card board on the lens hood and cutting a hole in the middle? i know it sounds funny, but who knows, unless anybody already tried it, i would love to see the result.

if it works , i think this will go nice with a sepia.. thanks

why don't you leave away the lens away and buy a spare body cap for your dSLR in which you punch a pin hole? Then you have a proper pinhole camera.

Card board where the lens hood is will not give you a pinhole effect since the hole is too far in front of the nodal point. The hole will have to have a wide diameter and still all it will do is give something which will look a bit like vignetting.

But maybe you mean vignetting, and not pinhole effects?
