I am new to photography. Please give feedback on these pictures:

#1 would have been strogner if the camera had been turned 90° to the vertical frame orientation. Your primary subject, the in focus flower, would have had more visual weight in the vertical frame by dint of it being larger in the frame. The second flower (splash of color) in the baclground is a distraction that steals viewer attention from the primary subject.

There are also issues with the lighting (flatness) that rob the primary subject of 'pop', or separation from the backgound, which is easier to illustrate than write a description for.
But, you have chosen My Photos Are NOT OK to Edit prohibiting showing any examples of cropping the image or editing possibilites for improving the appreance of the photo.

#2 would have been stronger if more of the upper part of the nearest palm tree were in the frame, so parts of the fronds hanging down into the top of the shot were still connected to the palm.
In this case the vertical framing is appropriate and you have an implied leading line from the row of palm trees, but the line leads to....nothing.
I wonder what the background would have been had the shot been made from the opposite side of the palm tree, with the line of palms going from left to right.
