Please help me sort this picture out...

I have taken this picture from the weekend and it is of one of my mates. Can some people try and help me enhance it, whether it be cropping it, getting rid of the people, sorting out the colours etc etc. I need it finalised for printing but am having trouble coming about what I want it too look like.

I have tried and come up with the following...

but when resized it made it out of focus, fuzzy and it generally is not that good!

think you shouldn't have made the photo lighter...just cropped..other than that, dunno what to say sorry
