Well, call me cold hearted, or perhaps even a "scamp" - but I have to admit that I'm not quite getting this one either. I mean I consider myself a pretty charitable guy for the most part, but I'm just not seeing a lot of reasons to donate hard earned money I could be spending on camera equipment that I could use to you so you can spend $1500 on a camera. You know, if you were looking to buy something used, outdated and basic until you found yourself in a better financial situation and could afford to buy your own equipment, that I could probably see - but $1500? Seriously?

I mean doesn't that strike you as being, well, just a tad bit on the selfish/self absorbed side?

Hope it was still new in the original packaging, otherwise they might just refuse delivery.. lol

work some extra hours and save some pennies for keh.com or adorama's used items. They're awesome.

Huge fan of KEH's used department myself. Bought my 50 mm from them, as well as my second D5200.

Yes, I would suggest to the OP that she try a place like KEH - fair prices on really good quality used cameras, lenses and other equipment.
