Point and shoot suggestions?

I'm thinking of getting a digital point and shoot to go along with my old film SLR, something that I can use just in case I run out of film or can't get the right shutter speed on my SLR.

I looked at a Fujifilm X1000. It's 258$ Canadian (No tax).
-12x opitcal zoom
-10 megapixel
-flash
-panoramic mode
-stabalization
-super macro mode

Anyone used this camera before? I'm trying to find out which would be best so other suggestions are welcome.

Another vote for the Canon G9 & Nikon P6000.

Also I would consider the Sigma DP1 and the Ricoch GX100 and GX200.
