I've been shooting DSLR's for quite a while. Think I got my first around 2000, D70. Now have a D5000 and a D7000 but a couple weeks ago I finally got a point and shoot to carry in the field with me. I like to hunt birds and take ohoto's of my dog's, DSLR is awful unhandy. Well the Bi Mart had S6900 Nikon coolpix on sale for $185. Found the same one a referb at B&H for less but was waiting fr a price drop at the Bi Mart. Discontinued model. Well it fits perfectly into a case I'd bought for a cell phone and goes on my belt. I like the photo's I'm getting with it but it always choose's a wide open aperature and normally shutter speed about 250. Is that normal? Really like the thing other than the always wide aperature which I only seem to know about after the fact.

I was gonna upload a photo I did with that camera but trying to get them to photobucket to re-size and doesn't seem to be working, maybe just really slow!

Welcome to TPF

There should be an "Upload a File" button below to the right in which case you can upload right into TPF. There is a size limitation which most basic software allows you to change the file size in "Save As" or an "Export" button if it error due to size.
