Sure it does. It was in the original right eye. I just brought it up and matched it with the left.

No, it does not. It looks highly unnatural.
 
My biggest problem with the photo is that your depth of field is very shallow. His face doesn't seem that sharp and your "back drop" would have been more interesting if it were only slight out instead of out of focus it is. Is there anything you can do about the hotspot directly behind him? If forces your eye to compete with what to focus on as you naturally gravitate to the brightest point of an image first. Not a bad attempt all in all.
