Portrait of a Singer

Wanted to try something a little "dark and moody" with this one.
not really trying for dramatic lighting, but something kinda shadowed.
Also, I noticed my watermark is not very well suited for this. ah well.
This is a Singer model 503a. Also called the "Rocketeer" due to (at the time, 1961) its
space age design.

this is sitting in a sewing table. and is heavy.
shot in the wifes sewing room, which is rather full. I didnt have room for stands and brollys so I just used a single speedlight on camera bounced. not an ideal setup, but i was pleased with the results.

A couple of minor hotspots, but other than that, a nice image, and a great subject.

cleaned up a few of the hotspots, was a bit of an improvement.

never really gave a look to those old vintage sew machines. i have seen a few of your posts. They are art for sure. Nice shots.
