Portraits with the Nikkor 35/1.8

So I just bought myself a prime lens, and I am VERY happy with it. Here's a shot that I took with it this morning of my son. With all the choices of expensive optics, I can't believe this little thing was only $200. Thoughts? Feedback?

Snapshot IMO but I also love that lens. I used to use it alllll the time on my old dx body.

It is a snapshot. There wasn't much thought put into it, except to see what the lens can do quickly. I bought it late last night and didn't get to use it until this morning, so I told him to jump on the car.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it! I upgraded to a fx body so I never use mine now but can't bare to part with it still. Lol

It's an exceptional lens IMO. Sharp, fun and cheap.
