An attempt at portraits (I work at a portrait studio, yes, but we don't get to do aaaaanything with lights beyond nuking them with them). My roommate, Jason. Thoughts?

the lighting is nice but i find the composition lacking, i think it would work better if i could see more of his face, it annoys me that part of his hoody is cut off.

the cropping\composition could be changed a tad bit, but rather than seeing more I would tend to crop it in tighter for even more of a headshot! In my opinion you NAILED that lighting!

I feel like it was cut off at a strange place (top, hood, weird stuff). The lighting is pretty good though. So yeah, the composition kilt it for me.

I think the hoody is part of your friends personality, which you can see very clearly in this picture. The eyes are nice.

12st off..Amazing eyes and you captured the essence of his character. The exposure is spot-on. My only nit is the cut off hoodie on top and side.. The lighting is primo.!!
