Posting photos

I am sorry if this post is in the wrong forum. I just made an acct and wanted to upload a few sample photos into my gallery. However, no matter how small I make the photo it tells me that they are too large to upload. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance!

There is an alternative to the link 480sparky posted that lets you upload directly from your computer: http://www.thephotoforum.com/forum/photography-beginners-forum/275444-tpf-news.html

Be sure you have a valid file type.

This photo is 2840 x 3606 pixels, but note the file size is only 211.7 kb. Save as a JPEG at a quality setting of 5 or less.
