I am a big fan of these images Rhys. Nice work. We seem to have a very similar mindset. Two full frame bodies, and f/1.4 primes all day. I just got my hands on a 35/1.4L, and I am looking forward to using it more for photojournalism and that sort of thing. These images were definitely an inspiration as to what the 35/1.4 and 85/1.4 combo can accomplish on their own. :thumbup:

Cameras and lenses don't accomplish anything on their own, they can be used as doorstops on their own, or paper weights. It's the person that sees the images that makes them work.

Oh really? Tell me more about stuff I already know.

I wasn't under the impression that Rhy's shot these captures in auto mode after going out and buying prime lenses without putting any thought into composition. I don't think you really understood my post. The 35/85 combo is a pretty minimal setup for a days worth of shooting, and with that combo Rhy's did great things. That's what I was alluding to, and what you clearly didn't understand.

Without going off topic on this fine set of images, I knew exactly what you were talking about. His choice of using two lenses to shoot this series of images. I usually shoot with one lens, inspite of having several options. He did a great job using two short lenses.
