Pretty Couple

Not the prettiest bg but a pretty couple I think. I thought f/8 would've been enough to make the bird in the back in focus enough but now I'm thinking f/11 would've been a little better. You be the judge.

I think even at f/11 you might have struggled as you look to be fairly close. The irony is, sometimes you need to be farther away. Not something you'd normally associate with bird photography.

However, it makes the eye concentrate on the foremost bird and as you opine, a very pretty one it is too.

Deeper DOF would have cluttered it up and made it flat looking. I like it as is.
