Primer on bird photography

What's a good one?

Carry lots of dead rats, as hawks love 'em. The ones in Central Park are fed by smart photogs who stock up on dead rodentia of all kinds.
BTW, I took this falcon after he/she killed the seagull.

This is horrible advice. Baiting of raptors is bad advise as they begin to trust humans which is a very bad thing. I know people do it and it is despicable to me. Spend time with the raptors and they will hunt on their own. Hawkwatch International - Raptor Photography Ethics
 
I Agree with Coastal on baiting and IMO a none sportsmanship tactic. boo.When I can capture a decent shot of an elusive bird by safely hunting or stalking a bird with out harm or upsetting it and especially not baiting,there is no better gratification to me.
