Why don't you shoot a roll in automatic mode, outdoors where there is plenty of light, and see how it works? My guess is that you're underexposing some shots by just "screwing around and not paying attention" indoors, but of course it's still possible there's something wrong with your camera.

Yeah that is what i am doing right now. I do understand the basics of metering and exposure as well. and not offended at all

Well it appears some of you were correct. I finally finished running another roll of film through the camera, in good lighting situations and mostly automatic modes and everything came out. I am assuming it was just my new user errors
