Alright, I've got a vivitar wide angle lens (1:2 28mm 55mm, hoping this means something to you) and like, I was hoping it would be have the black circle like a fisheye would but I dont think it does, I'm using it in a Pentax P30 film camera and was just wondering if there's any way I can make it have the black circle?
Cheers

Fish eyes and Wide Angle lens are different......

I gathered that, thanks for your input though.

28mm really isn't that wide. Fisheyes are generally in the 8-16mm range. And they are all prime lenses to my knowledge, meaning they aren't able to zoom...

Should add, I dont have a clue what that means, I just want the black circles like a fisheye, I saw on youtube if you take the lenses out and turn them round it looks like a fisheye, would that work?

not true, tokina makes a 10-17mm fisheye. 28mm is decently wide on his camera, the equivalent of about 18mm on a 1.5x crop sensor camera.

op, fisheyes deliberately bend lines whereas manufacturers try to eliminate distortion with wide angles (but they cant, they stretch corners and stuff). is there a certain reason you need that fisheye look?

if you just need want it for the cool factor, buy a lens attachment off ebay and call it a day. because chances are the allure of a fisheye is going to wear off after seeing it on 3408038 tumblr pages :)

Do it in post.
