When I first started posting pictures here they were looking like crap. I mantioned it after a month or two and people began trying to explain to me what might be happening.

In the end I figured it out with all their help. The pictures might not be any better but they do reproduce here better,,,, so thank you all... I would mention names but several people contributed answers and they all were correct.

The basic problem was the image was being compressed too many times in the software, since I take it in and out of various programs. Some of them were routinely compressing an already compressed image. Also the host was compressing it again.

The final piece of the puzzle was in place when Marc suggested that linking it to my own website would stop the host compression. So now it gets compressed just once for my website. So thanks All of you.
