QQ Your opinions on this lens?

as with any cheap long-range zoom lenses you sacrifice image/build quality for zoom

it will lose most image quality at longer focal lengths

i would recommend a more expensive, or shorter range lens

It's garbage.

Try an 85mm f/1.8 if you're in an arena, otherwise a 70-300VR/IS would be fine for daylight.

Hmm yeah i was also going to ask this sigma or the Nikkor 70-300? id love the 70-200 f2.8 but cant quite afford that, and i used a sony 70-300 on my last camera and liked it

there's only one big focal range lens worth to buy, which called 28-300 3.5-5.6L, to full format body user, it's quite convenient, the other one 35-350L was not wide enough.

Look at the Nikkor 80-200 f2.8; optically it's darn near as good as the 70-200, and it can be found used for $700 - 900 depending on version and condition. The problem is, unless you are fairly close, even 300mm may not be long enough for some shots.
