Question About Minolta X-700 35mm

Hello, my name is Justice Colwell and I am a novice photographer. I bought my first camera about a year ago for my photography course in school but I would really like to take matters into my own hands and start doing photography outside of school.

I have a Minolta X-700 35mm (black) and I have a few questions regarding it:

You have the last SLR Minolta before auto focus was introduced.

1. What type of film would you recommend me using with this camera? (If you could recommend a chemical brand to use with the film, tha'd be awesome!

2. What lenses are adaptable with this camera?

Any Minolta MC or MD or Celtic lens. You can get them very reasonably on eBay since they were orphaned. They are high quality lenses, among the best.

3. Where would I beable to purchase lenses, filters, accessories for this camera?

I really appreciate all the help and look forward to chatting with you all,

Cheers,
Justice

I have 7 Minolta lenses plus other brands with Minolta mounts that I use with my digital Panasonic G1. I also use Pentax mount lenses with this camera but they are more expensive on eBay because they were not orphaned.

If you can pick up a Minolta 50mm, f1.4 on eBay you will have a real winner at reasonable cost.
