Quick ? about photo count.

I have the Nikon D40. I just wanted to know if there is way to stop the camera from resetting the photo number to zero?

I know it sounds silly, but I wanna keep track of how many photos I've taken with the camera.

Well, you can either download IExif which will tell you how many shutter actuations your camera had after taking the current photo being viewed or you can change this setting: MENU -> SETUP MENU -> File no. sequence -> ON. That'll do exactly what you need.
