Quick about photographic "style"

I've seen this more and more recently from the local photographers in my area. I'm not sure how they do it; quite frankly, I don't care because I don't like it, but I do want to know. Is it just overexposed or is there more to it? I really don't care for this style, but I feel that I need to understand it to be more well rounded...

What is this crap? Seriously stop posting.

If members take issue with posts, content, threads on the site the correct course of action is to use either the report post button or pm a moderator/admin regarding the content. It is not members place to bask-seat moderate content - especially in a case like this where I can't see any reason for such a comment.
