quick help please

i mustve pressed a button and i dont know what i pressed, wheneveri go to review a picture on camera theres this huge information panel that tells me everything about the photo (lens, aperture and all that, how do i get rid of this?)

its a nikon D 3000, I somehow got into the display mode, somehow managed to get the check mark under data.

while i have you here, how do make you sure pictures come out more sharp out of camera? even at f/22 they still come out so unsharp its almost like its not even in focus and very very soft, i always have to go in and manually sharpen

Stopping down that much actually hurts sharpness, since diffraction starts to affect sharpness. Most lenses are sharpest around f/8 or 11.

You may simply have a soft lens to begin with.

Theres no one answer to achieve sharp images, many factors will be involved, shutter speed, aperture, distance, light, tripods, quality of lens/glass,
Learn what they all do, how and when to use/set them up, the rest will fall into place.

ah, thanks for the info, i was under the impression that the smaller the aperture is the sharper the image is

not the case, it varys from lens to lens, but generally the lens' "sweet spot" is somewhere around the wide to middle aperture range.
