We were out at Cheaha SP (AL) and I snapped this one of my daughter and didn't think it was too awful bad. How could it have been made better?

To me, its just a tad too close, I would rather see all her hair. It looks a little cold, but then again it very well could have been cold weather wise.

Just my opinion, lets see what some others think.

Ideally a bit more space all around. I agree it does look a little cold/blue. I think boosting the WB just a tad would not go amiss.

This shot was taken just about a week ago and it was rather cool that day. I didn't do any post processing of the shot aside from cropping it from the right edge to delete some sticks in the background.

Why is there a stream in the background?

You probably should have framed her in portrait mode.

It is a bit close for me. I'd prefer it a little more zoomed out as well.

Cool refers to white balance. If your image is too cool and it is straight out of camera then you took it wrong and it needs adjusting. If it was a overcast day your white balance should have been set to cloudy. I think your daughter looks pretty but yes it's too close up.
