Random shots using off camera flash

I finally took the plunge to get an off camera controller for flash.
So I took my 430EXii and ST e2 and went down the street to a cactus patch and the acequia.

Shooting with the 5D allowed me some room for full frame, but the intent was to see the effects of water with a slow shutter (0"6) and a flash to the side.

The cactus is a baby paddle (nopalas) and the buds on the stock are anyone's guess.
