Raw+jpeg

Maybe a silly question, and I probably alrdy know the answer, but I would like some confirmation .

When taking a raw+jpeg,
Putting the setting to a small (5mp) image. This only effects the jpeg right?
The raw remains a big 20.7mp size picture? (On a d7500)
I would like to upload some images straight to my phone sometimes for fast sharing, the phone automatically makes it a 2mp file, so I do not think it is needed to take a raw + jpeg big 20.7mp file picture.
Jpegs will be deleted anyway.

Users manual and everything else pointed towards this. But still, it should say: this does not effect raw files xD.

It seems you think the raw file and the jpg photo are attached in some way. The raw file is taken and the jpg version is created from it in the camera. The jpg is used for the rear screen so the photographer can see the picture.
If you choose raw+jpg then both are stored on the card. If you choose raw then the jpg is not stored on the card.
