Red Shouldered Hawk

[BillM]

This one likes to hangout in an old dead tree next to a supermarket. I always see him there so yesterday I decided to go home and grab a camera. It was snowing and raining but it stopped for a few minutes so I was able to get a shot or two. Crappy light but still better than not getting out to shoot

This one is real soft but it was still nice of him to confirm the ID for me lol

Getting closer is the key. I like these.

He seems to have an injury that is healed, right in the middle of the chest. It has been a hard winter around here.

[Hunter58]

Nice shots. Does have a curious look on its face.

[BillM]

I think he is waiting for someone to drop some groceries lol

But seriously, considering how bad this winter has been he doesn't look like he has missed many meals.
