(That is Florence, isn't it? I can't find my location notes.) From back in 2017. We have a tour of Sicily and Malta booked for September . . . Could happen.

Nice. Yep, looks like the Ponte Vecchio.
Thanks! I was almost sure it was Florence. I think that was my favorite of all the Italian cities we visited, and not just for the beauty. As we learned when we were there, they heroically hid and provided forged i.d.'s for their Jewish citizens during WWII, and are proud to tell you they lost no Jews at all. They have the printing press they used to create the phony documents on display. There is a huge plaza there that is made of Jerusalem Stone, which was a gift from the people of Israel to the people of Florence for their acts of bravery and humanity. You may have known this history, but it was a revelation to us.
