Remote Control Cord

I am looking into getting a remote control for my Nikon camera (here is the remote control http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=195667&is=REG)
The cord is only 2.6 feet long. I would like a longer cord so is there some type of "extension cord" I can get?

Unfortunately Nikon along with most manufactures have custom plugs on there equipment, did you check the Nikon site for a longer remotes or extension, also is there a inferred remote available
