Removing flare effectively..

I've used a few ways to try and reduce flare or remove it without trashing the stars or making it look obviously edited, has anyone got any tips in PS / LR that may be useful for removing flare? To be honest I don't "hate" it, but I know that some people do...

I think it can make an image better, maybe a dehaze could work.

Yeah tried that also, kinda just emphasised them, Like I said I don't really mind them too much here to be honest, but there placement does make them damned hard to effectively remove..

This is a combination of 7 shots, processed in LR and PS with some light trails painted in from some of the other exposures, I've not used all 7 blended, but more just some of the traffic... I don't expect it will meet everyones tastes
