I didn't like my first edit of my wife, I like this one better as the background no longer dominates the scene

The pattern of the background is excellent, but I agree with DBJ - green is a depressing color

While the background shouldn't pop but perhaps B&W...

You dealt with her olive skin very nicely

I'm not seeing a perceptible green cast, and I like this. A lot!

I'm not seeing a green cast either.
Something about the texture of the background and the texture of the head scarf complements her skin. Her face seems to stand out all the more.

My thoughts:
- not seeing mentioned green cast
- you should see the photo on this crappy computer at my job. She has a large, strong blob of overexposed light on her forehead. I'm aware that this monitor exaggerates things, but I still don't understand why did you chose to light her from that high. If it was for her cheekbones then you should do something to protect her forehead.
- I don't like that strong line of transition between her and the texture. In the bottom part of the photo

But really, however you edit a photo of her, her beauty has the strongest impact so any other little imperfections wouldn't matter.

Ok first of all she's lovely - and the portrait is truly marvelous. Having the red hood up over her hair is positively inspired, it separates her black hair from the black background just perfectly and because of the darker color red it's not distracting and doesn't take away from her face. Two thumbs up there. As to the greenish cast - well I must admit I'm not seeing that either but that could just be me. This one is definitely a keeper, I wouldn't change a thing myself
